Die ideale brenndauer für Deine Duftkerze
Bevor Du Deine Kerze das erste Mal anzündest, gib ihr Zeit, sich an die Raumtemperatur "zu gewöhnen". Dies ist besonders bei Kerzen aus Naturwachs wichtig.
Wähle den passenden Standort für Deine Duftkerze: Ein Platz, an dem es nicht zieht, ist ideal.
Wenn Du mehrere Kerzen anzündest, sollten diese mit mindestens 10 cm Abstand voneinander aufgestellt werden. Stehen die Kerzen zu nahe beieinander, erhalten sie zu wenig Luft.
Diese 2 Tipps sind besonders wichtig:
1. Brenndauer: Deine Duftkerze sollte beim ersten Anzünden mindestens so lange brennen, bis das Wachs an der Oberfläche vollständig zu den Rändern aufgeschmolzen ist, um Kraterbildung zu vermeiden.
Die Brenndauer hängt dabei von der Größe der Kerze ab. Für unsere Duftkerzen bedeutet das: mindestens 2, maximal 3 Stunden.
So kann sich der Duft im Raum ideal entfalten.
Lässt Du die Kerze länger brennen, verflüssigt sich das Wachs zu sehr und brennt zu schnell ab.

Choose the right location for your scented candle: A place where there is no draft is ideal.
If you light several candles, they should be placed at least 10 cm apart. If the candles are too close together, they will not get enough air.
These 2 tips are particularly important:
1. Your scented candle should burn for at least until the wax on the surface has completely melted to the edges to avoid cratering, but at most 2 hours. This allows the scent to unfold ideally in the room. If you let the candle burn longer, the wax liquefies too much and burns off too quickly.
2. The wick should regularly be shortened to 5 mm. A shortened wick avoids excessive smoke formation, ensures a longer lifespan for your scented candle and a beautiful flame picture< /strong>. The flame is brighter and also has a more beautiful, flame-typical shape. An uncut wick causes more heat to be generated, which shortens the life of your candle.
You can use wick shears to shorten it, they catch the cut part of the wick so that the wax of the candle is not contaminated. You can also use sharp craft scissors or nail scissors. Just make sure that no bits of wick fall into the wax.
To extinguish the candle, use a candle snuffer or dip the wick using a dipper, tweezers - or makeshift one Paper clip - into the liquid wax. This creates less smoke than blowing out the candle. Then straighten the wick of the candle again.
